Purchasing the School Uniform
The Tara Uniform shop is located at the below address;
Unit 16 / 8 Magenta Terrace, Mandurah (behind Officeworks, next to Emprise Mobility).
Shop hours (during school terms) will be:
Tuesday & Wednesday 8.30am – 4.30pm
Thursday 9.30am – 5.00pm
Saturday 9.00am -1.00pm
Monday & Friday Closed
Online ordering is available 24/7 to allow for home delivery at a nominal cost, or free pickup at the Mandurah premises or from Rockingham Senior High School reception on Thursday morning. Orders to be received by 9am on Wednesday ready for Thursday delivery.

The School Dress Code:
- ensures the safety of students through easy identification
- promotes a positive school image
- engenders a sense of school pride
- encourages equity amongst students
- prepares students for the workplace, where conformity to dress and safety codes is expected
It is compulsory for students to wear the school uniform. The uniform was selected by the students and parents in consultation with the staff and school board. The uniform policy is endorsed by the School Board. The school has worked exceptionally hard to ensure the cost of the school uniform is has been reduced so as to help our parents afford the school uniform. There is also the ability buy and sell second-hand uniforms at the Sustainable School shop website – www.sustainableschoolshop.com.au .
School Uniform Policy
- The Uniform and Dress Code applies at all times when students are required to wear their school uniform before, during and after school, no exceptions.
- All uniforms should be purchased from the School’s nominated supplier.
- All students participating in Physical Education lessons must wear the house shirts and school PE shorts. Students should change back into school dress after sport and physical education.
- Students wearing the uniform outside of the school are expected to behave in a manner that promotes a positive school image.
Personal Presentation
- Uniform items are to be neat and clean.
- Buttons must be fastened at all times.
- Jumpers/jackets are to be worn correctly.
- Beret, Beanies and hats should not be worn in class.

Expectations when wearing the school uniform
It is expected that all students will wear correct school uniform all of the time.
- All students, for identification purposes will wear a school shirt
- All students are expected to wear appropriate, plain black bottoms, with no visible logos.
In colder weather, students are able to:
- Wear a school jacket or jumper
- Wear a plain black, grey, white or red non-hooded jumper underneath the school shirt.
It is NOT appropriate for students to wear:
- Non-school uniform jackets or jumpers as the outer-most layer
- Short shorts
- Branded sports-wear with visible logos or stripes
- Denim of any colour
- Leggings without shorts or a skirt over the top
PE Uniform
All students are required to change into their PE uniform for all PE lessons, including specialist sports, and change their uniform at the conclusion of the PE lesson. The PE Uniform consists of:
- School house shirt
- School sport shorts
- Correct/appropriate footwear – sport sneakers.
Specialist Sports and Rugby Uniforms
All students enrolled in these programs are required to wear the Specialist training and playing uniform as outlined in the policy and guidelines for these various programs.
Footwear
For safety purposes enclosed footwear must be worn by all students at all times.
Jewellery and long hair
During practical lessons, in such subjects as D&T, Home Economics, PE and Science, students should have long hair tied back and remove loose dangling jewellery, scarves and ties.
Leavers Jacket
Year 12 Leavers Jacket may be worn by Year 12 students in place of the School Jumper or Jacket as part of the uniform.
