Music Program

Students who have a passion for music and want to learn how to read and write in Western Notation and develop their music skills to a performance level, can apply to join this focus program. The instruments include: Wind, Brass, Percussion, Guitar and Vocals.

All Instrumental Music students are required to undertake Class Music for one Semester, as well as attend their allocated weekly lesson and attend their ensemble/choir rehearsal, which are held after school. Additionally students will be expected to develop effective rehearsal strategies to practise their instrument at home.

Students in the Instrumental Program will be required to perform at both school and community events, to a wide variety of audiences, once they have achieved a high level of performance skill in their instrument.
